The two new features on the new Colt is the mid-length gas system and the Centurion Arms M-LOK free-float handguard. Magpul‘s MOE SL stock and pistol grip and MOE trigger guard are the stock furniture. It comes with a single 30-round P-Mag. The barrel seems to has a medium profile with a 1:7 twist rate, and it’s chrome lined inside and phosphate finished on the outside.
The new Colt Combat Unit Carbine feels great on hand. With a small red-dot, such as this Trijicon MRO, the gun is well balanced. Another nice touch that I like is the included ambidextrous selector. The selector lever on the right side is a shorter one. Which for right handed shooter like me, the shorter lever doesn’t dig into my trigger finger.
Also unveil at the event is the new Colt National Match ammunition line, which will be loaded by DoubleTap Ammunition in Utah. No more re-branded low power imported ammo.
The new ELCAN Specter TR 1-3-9x combat gun sight. Stay tune for a full review soon.
Well, that’s about as much as I could get from 35 minute of hand-on with the new Colt Combat Unit Carbine. The MSRP is $1299.
