October 28th – 30th, I had the privilege of attending the 2016 Red Oktober Kalashnikov Event. In addition to more than 130 shooters that participated in the shooting competition, there were also a number of vendors and manufacturers on site to show off their Kalashnikov and Com-bloc weapons products.
Gemtech and Arsenal Inc have joined forces to offer a suppressor ready AK package for the US market. The Arsenal-Gemtech combo is available with the Arsenal SAM milled receiver model, SLR stamped receiver model and the short-barrel model.
At the demo range, Gemtech provided subsonic 7.62x39mm ammo for use with the Arsenal AK. The combo was very quiet. The new 7.62x39mm subsonic ammo will be available from Arsenal directly and it will be at an affordable cost.
The Gemtech titanium AK suppressor uses a QD ready Gemtech tri-lug flash hider as the mounting interface to the AK’s muzzle.
Circle 10 AK is a popular online store for AK magazine and AK specific accessories. This team Circle 10 AK shooter used a customized AK that was loaded with CRH Customs and Circle 10 AK accessories.
This CRH AK titanium muzzle brake is offered by Circle 10 AK in both the 2-port and 3-port configuration. Both versions are also available in the less expensive black oxide color 4041 steel.
The AK uses an M4 style collapsible stock mounted on the Circle 10 AK/Manticore Arms flush fit side folder adapter.
Here you see a Circle 10 AK Extended Charging Handle and Primary Arms Advanced Micro Dot mounted on the Circle 10 AK scout optic mount.

Dead Air Silencer’s Wolverine PBS-1. The external style is made to look like the original Russian PBS-1 suppressor. However, internally is all modern design with no need for rubber discs. Dead Air told me that their Wolverine PBS-1 is specially made to work as an universal suppressor for the majority of AK variants.
My buddy Miles was trying out the Dead Air Wolverine mounted AK at the range. While Dead Air didn’t have any subsonic ammo for us to use, the silencer did a surprisingly good job of reducing the noise. Not quit hearing safe but the Dead Air PBS-1 did help a lot.
The interchangeable insert of the Dead Air design allows the Wolverine can to be mounted on a great variety of AK muzzle thread sizes.
Joe Firearms‘ DMR. It’s guarantee sub-MOA accuracy. Notice that it mounts the bipod on the receiver like the SVD. The demo model is chambered in .308 but will also be availbe in 6.5 Grendel.
This repurposed stroller is great for carrying multiple com-bloc guns and ammo between the stages.
The Rifle Dyanmics PKM is being cooled down at Stage 4.
