I was very saddened today to learn respected firearms trainer Pat Rogers has passed away. Pat served his country both as a Marine in Vietnam and on the streets of New York City as a Detective. He shared his wealth of knowledge as a Gunsite Instructor and with E.A.G. Tactical, a company he founded in 1992. I’m lucky to have spent a small amount of time on and off the range with him. He was a gifted instructor, had a great sense of humor and was utterly dedicated to his students. If you made a mistake on the range, he let you know it. But he did it in a manner so you could learn from it. He loved teaching, and it showed. In a world seemingly awash in ‘firearms trainers’ Pat Rogers stood out from the crowd as a giant. He will be missed by family, friends and colleagues. We are, diminished.
Pat is also one of the Bravo Company Gunfighters.
