During SHOT Show 2019, I was introduced to a small company that builds compliant magazine for restricted states, more specifically – California and New York. The biggest advantage of the CompMag over other types of compliant lock system is that there’s no need to install anything to the gun receiver itself, and the CompMag could be easily uninstall with using a tool once outside of the ban jurisdiction.
The left and right sides of the CompMag. It features a loading port with sliding cover on the left side, and a magazine spring compressing lever with a locking slot on the right side. The mag body is made from heavy duty nylon composite.

The CompMag will fit any rifle or pistol with the STANAG magwell becase of its patented locking system. The company is working on a speed loader for the CompMag, and a bigger AR-10 version is coming out in Spring 2019.
The MSRP for the CompMag is $64.99. Order here The price may seemed to be a bit high but it’s similar to other mag lock systems on the market allowed under the California restriction.
The AK version of the CompMag will be available shortly after SHOT Show 2019.
